Lyrics: Meaningful or Marketable?

Which kind of lyrics do you prefer? The kind that are always radio-friendly (like Soulja Boy) or the kind that actually mean something (like Lupe Fiasco and Talib Kweli)? I'm curious as to what people think, because a lot of people seem to like hip-POP instead of hip-HOP. What's your opinion?
