A question bout my debt problem that I'm going through?

No excuses bout how or why I'm in debt but need some help/advice from someone who's been there too. Signed on with debt consolidation agency a href="http://www.genesiscapitalgroupllc.com/" rel="nofollow"http://www.genesiscapitalgroupllc.com//a and has been over 2 months since I started. Am making payments to them to consolidate credit about $28,000 but need to know if this is the right way it's supposed to go. Constant calls from collectors and my debt consolidation people tell me not to listen to them and leave all the negotiating to them and only make payments to them. Also, said they wait 2 months to start making offers to my collectors and to change banks since one of my cards is with them? Anything else they are supposed to tell me or is any of this wrong? Please, need people with experience to give me a clue to what they are going through with my situation or went through in same scenario, thanks.
