Is a candidates religious faith important?

It is to me, but only in the sense that I want to know about that person's idea of what government should be, etc. before voting. If the candidate is someone who is seriously religious, prays for guidance when making decisions, etc., and is upfront about this during the campaign, fine. I might not agree with people like that, but at least I can respect them for doing what candidates are supposed to do -- honestly inform the public about themselves, instead of just spouting off whatever people want to hear.
