How can I playback Divx with a full screen?

Hi I have successfully encoded a movie to div x and playback is fine on a tv with a diivx player. But when I playback it is letterbox. I cant change via player ot tv so when encoding (which I put as 4:3 aspect ratio). I umed this would be full screen. Please help. Thanx
