Would Maurice Clarett have been an outstanding runningback in the NFL if he left college in his rookie year?

No, but he would have been better than average. Altough he is a "thug" I feel kind of bad for him because he got screwed over. The NFL owners didn't want to start paying for players before they had finished more school, because they wanted to let the players develop more in college (so they wouldn't have to pay them for that time where they still had so much to learn) and Mo Claurett was a victim of that. He was amazing! I think that Claurett was/would have been better than Reggie Bush but now we'll never know.
