What kind of oil (synthetic or semi-synthetic) should i use for 2000 Mitsu Galant with 2.4 engine and 85k.mile

yesterday i replace the oil for new, german Liqui Moly with molibden additive, this is semi-synth. But after oil change i hear unpleasant noise from engine. So what you advise to me?
